Day 3 – Caveman food

I survived the night, if you didn’t figure that out already. It was stressful, it was a little difficult, but it passed and everything was fine. Today was a new day. Breakfast was the standard sausage and cheese omelette. Tonight’s dinner was this:

Cheesy Chicken Casserole (although I think I prefer to call it Green Chile Chicken Casserole – the chile is a bigger star than the cheese) from cavemanketo.com. Very tasty indeed.

Oh, and I noticed the container of Ice Breakers Orangeade “mints” on the counter. Sugar free, so I ate one to try to wave off a sweet craving before it comes. We’ll see how that works.

The First 48

So here I am, with no real plan, and no real ideas other than knowing that I need to change myself.

I’ll admit, the first 2 days have been just alright. Day 1 was limited to a Chipotle Salad (Salad, no dressing, half chicken/half steak, sour cream, cheese, green salsa.) Day 2 has been a little more challenging somehow. Breakfast was a sausage/bacon/cheese omelette, lunch was bacon caesar salad, and dinner was a steak (broiled, pretty meh) and some broccoli/cauliflower from a frozen package.

Now comes the hard part, killing the sweet tooth tonight. Unlike last night, I’m jonesing to go into the kitchen and gorge on something – particularly something sweet. I don’t know if it’s the food or the screaming kids. Food is (or should that be was) my support system. Things going bad? Eat a cake, you’ll feel better. Instead, I’m just going to sit here with my tea, and try to push through it.
